About Aled OldfieldWho is Aled! Well Aled started his training in photography after he left school in the 70s. But he did have an interest before then as he had his own darkroom at his home where he lived with his mum and dad in North Wales. He started his apprenticeship as a photographer in Denbigh, North Wales and also went to college in Liverpool studying photography. He then moved to a photographic studio in Blackpool where they photographed weddings, family portraits and commercial work photographing buildings to cars. When he was at Blackpool he got heavily involved in the processing of the images that the studio did.
With this he built a name for his photography and print quality and has helped many a photographer to get their qualifications. Aled oversaw the quality of work that went out at the studio he worked for, also photographed all the Buckingham Palace Investitures that were held. Even today Aled takes time out from running a successful wedding and portrait business in North Wales, goes down to London to help photographer in their qualifications and give advice to them at The Societies of Photographers Convention down in London every year. With all this he has earned the title of Grand Master of photography with the SWPP.
In January 2017 at the largest UK photographic Convention and Awards Evening held in London. Aled was awarded the Grand Master Bar by the SWPP for help and dedication to helping other photographers with their work and Qualifications in the photographic industry.
Aled continues to work hard on developing his style and techniques with the new digital technology for himself and his businesses.
